Welcome! The atmosphere at the Lowndes Grove Plantation is private and peaceful, with the river along one side, and a privacy wall along the three other sides. Just outside the downtown tourist area, the plantation is minutes from the Market, Antique Row, White Point Gardens, and many more great attractions. Across the Ashley River is Charlestowne Landing, the original settlement of Charleston.

The rooms are decorated with historic reproduction furniture. You'll find king and queen size canopy beds, private baths in the main house rooms, as well as the carriage house and cottage house rooms that work well for small groups or families with children. A decanter of sherry awaits your arrival on the second floor sitting room, or relax in one of the period antique appointed social rooms.
